....no...it's not about a man with a gun..but a group of Bidayuh musician and singer who making its round in the circle of local music industry..at least here in First Division of Sarawak.

On Saturday, 26th October, i had an opportunity to tag along with Snipers group during their mini-concert at Temong Mawang Village. Temong area is roughly one hour driving distance from Serian town. Drive on the road that going to Tebedu and just about five km more to Tebedu, you will need to turn right to Temong. ..start of the main event with selling of rossette (you need to chip in some amount after they stick the rossette)...i lost of my first rossette during the occasion and they stick a new one..then need to donate again...argh....

...during early hours (8pm till 10pm)...most of the revellers were easing themselves with food and drink..they do serve tuak (fermented rice wine) and beram (fermented sugarcane wine)

..then this local fellow are invited to sing along and cause uproar with the audience...quite talented though..

....dance the nite away...

Visiting Jathropha Farm at Ebung...

11th Sept 2008 - Around 10am, my colleagues invited me to join them to visit a Jathropha seedling farm at Ebung, somewhere in the middle of Link Road (ByPass Road towards Mile 14 from Kuching town). So...i use that as my alibi to escape from my office. Jathropa (or pokok Jarak in Malays) are going to be the "in-thing" for the time to come, at least here in Sarawak state. State government through various agency were publicizing and promoting this Jathropha as the next cash crop, alongside palm oil, rubber, pepper and cocoa.
